Create Presentation

The Presentation Stage allows you to display the fully interactive 3D presentation of your design. In Presentation Mode, the water features will be filled with water and you will be able to take full color 3D pictures of your design. Click on the Create Presentation button to view your project in full screen Presentation Mode.

Presentation Options:

Customer: This line will contain any information that was entered in the Project Information Stage. You may also change or enter new information on the line here. Any text typed here will appear in the lower left corner of the Presentation Mode screen. Check the box to display the text, uncheck it to hide the text in Presentation Mode.

Designer: This line will contain any information that was entered in the Project Information Stage. You may also change or enter new information on the line here. Any text typed here will appear in the lower left corner of the Presentation Mode screen. Check the box to display the text, uncheck it to hide the text in Presentation Mode.

Company: This line will contain any information that was entered in the Project Information Stage. You may also change or enter new information on the line here. Any text typed here will appear in the lower left corner of the Presentation Mode screen. Check the box to display the text, uncheck it to hide the text in Presentation Mode.

Display Logo Image: A company logo can be displayed in the Presentation Mode. This logo will appear in any screenshots taken while in Presentation Mode.

The checkbox labeled Display Logo Image will control whether the logo will display in Presentation Mode or not. To insert a logo click on the folder button to the right of the image box or click the image box itself and an Open box will appear. Find the image to be inserted and click open. The image will then appear in the image box. The image will now appear in Presentation Mode.

Supported image formats are JPG, PNG, BMP & TGA. Transparency is supported in PNG and TGA images. It is recommended that image be no larger than 200x200 pixels and that the total image file size not be larger than 1MB. Larger logos may cause performance issues or fail to appear at all in presentation.

Removing the Logo Image: The logo image may be removed by clicking the X button located in the bottom right corner of the the logo image box.

Presentation Settings:

Time of Day: You may select either Dusk, Day, or Night as the time of day for your Presentation Mode. Once in Presentation Mode, you may change the time of day by pressing the letter N on your keyboard or using the Presentation Mode Menu. This setting will also affect the time of day in the 3D view. 

Lights in Night Mode: When the Presentation is set to Night Mode, objects from the Yard Accessories Stage such as pool lights and house lights will illuminate. If you do not have enough light when in Night Mode, add additional light sources such as yard lights to brighten the area. Your presentation quality setting will affect the brightness of the lights.

Presentation Quality: Your currently selected Presentation Quality is displayed here. Clicking on the button here will open the Configuration Menu to the Presentation Tab where the Presentation Quality setting may be changed. Please note, Presentation Quality is completely dependant on the capabilities of your video card and computer hardware.

Ambient Sounds: The Ambient Sounds control allows you to select realistic background sounds to play during the Presentation. You may select any of the sounds by left clicking on the sound name in the list. Once selected the background sounds will play whenever you are in Presentation Mode.

Adjusting Display Quality in the Configuration Menu:

In the Configuration Menu, the Presentation Tab allows you to control the appearance and quality of the Presentation Mode. Please Note: These features are completely dependant on your computer's hardware. Features your computer hardware is not able to display will be grayed out.

Display Resolution: This slider will allow you to adjust the resolution of the Presentation mode. In order for your presentation to be full screen, you will want to set this resolution the same as your monitor's resolution.

Display Quality: This slider allows you set the display quality for the presentation mode. The higher the quality, the greater detail your presentation will show. The lower the quality the faster your computer will run. You can choose a custom display quality by using the More 3D Options button. Your display quality is completely dependant on your computer's hardware, features your computer cannot display will be grayed out.

More Display Options:

You can access this menu by pressing the More 3D Options button in the Presentation tab. These controls allow you to set a custom display quality. A preview of each option will appear in the Visual Effects Preview box. These features are completely dependant on your computer's hardware. Features your computer hardware is not able to display will be grayed out. Turning off these features will improve computer performance if Pool Studio is running slow.

Shadow Quality: Shadow quality allows you to turn shadows on or off and set their detail.

Reflection Strength: Reflection strength controls how reflective bodies of water are in your design. You may set the strength or turn it off completely.

Other Visual Effects: These effects may be turned on or off with the checkboxes.

Glow Effects: This effect creates a glow around sources of light in the design such as the sun or yard lights.

Water Caustic Effects: This effect creates the shimmering of light across bodies of water.

Bumpy Materials: With this effect turned on, surface materials will have more depth and appear more realistic. Not all materials support this feature.

Artificial Night Lighting: This feature allows lights to illuminate the surrounding area when in night mode in the presentation.

Antialiasing This feature smoothes out the edges of shapes to create a softer and clearer picture in 3D.

High Foliage Shadows: With this feature turned on, shadows cast onto plants and trees are crisper and more defined.

Changing Movement in the Configuration Menu:

In the Configuration Menu, the Interaction Tab allows you to control movement in the Presentation Mode.

Walk Speed: This slider will allow you to adjust the speed at which you move while in walk mode.

Fly Speed: This slider will allow you to adjust the speed at which you move while in fly mode.

Automated Tour Speed: This slider will allow you to adjust the speed at which the automated tour rotates.

Mouse Sensitivity: This slider will allow you to adjust how sensitive the mouse is to your movements.

Once you have the information entered and have chosen your presentation settings, click on the Create Presentation button. You will view your project in the full screen Presentation Mode.
