How come the Smooth tool doesn't always allow me to smooth a corner?
Requested and Answered by Admin on 31-Aug-2005 19:53 (1580 reads)
SYMPTOMS
After creating a shape, you want to smooth some corners on the shape. When you select the Smooth tool, the points on the corners you want to smooth disappear.

CAUSE
Pool Studio tries to detect the corners that can be smoothed as accurately as possible. If the Smooth tool doesn’t allow you to smooth a point, it might already be a smooth point, or Pool Studio could not detect it.

RESOLUTION
First, make sure that the point you want to smooth is not already a smooth point. If the point you want to smooth is between 2 arcs, or between an arc and a line, Pool Studio cannot smooth that point. However you can increase the size of the radius of that arc by using the Scale tool.

If this is not the case, it might be because of the smooth tool’s corner detection capability. As Pool Studio develops, this feature will be more improved.
