SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to open a Pool Studio save file on another computer that also has Pool Studio installed, Pool Studio generates errors and closes or the design is blank. CAUSES 1) In order to share designs with other Pool Studio users, both users must have the same versions of Pool Studio. Otherwise, the copy of Pool Studio the save file was created with would be using a feature that is not available on the other version of Pool Studio. 2) A network drive is not mapped to the local machine. 3) Double clicking on a saved file will not open the file. RESOLUTIONS 1) Make sure that both copies of Pool Studio have the same version numbers. You can find the version number of the copy of Pool Studio you are using on the upper left of your screen. If the version numbers are not the same, the one with the lesser version number must perform a Check For Updates. 2) A network drive must be mapped to the local machine for Pool Studio to access it properly. Otherwise, copy or move the file onto your local drive and then attempt to open it. 3) Instead of double clicking on a design, Pool Studio must be open. Once open, click on "OPEN EXISTING DESIGN" or go to "FILE" and then "OPEN".
